Last year, Canadian heartthrob/pop artist Blake McGrath graced the cover of Evoke’s October 2012 issue to discuss the release of his long-awaited sophomore album Love Revolution, the follow-up to the insanely catchy Time To Move. Originally schedule for a November 2012 release, McGrath finally releases his long awaited album on Sept. 30, 2013.
Preceded by two official singles, the poplaced “Heaven (Follow Me)”, which received the music video treatment in July, and the R&B influenced “Debonair”, the new effort is shaping up to be a mix of inspiration from multiple genres from the gorgeous singer and dancer.
When Evoke spoke to McGrath a year ago, the artist revealed the album would relate to all the different aspects of love and would feature something for everyone, ranging from up-tempo dance tracks, R&B creations, and emotional ballads.
Listeners should expect a bigger sound, something much more aggressive and more urban all rolled into one fun-filled experience which showcases the growth of the artist over a three-year time frame.
“I hope my fans will connect with me on a deeper level this era and also see how much I have grown,”
“I hope my fans will connect with me on a deeper level this era and also see how much I have grown,” McGrath said. “I cannot wait to share [the record] with the world.”
Other tracks hinted at appearing on the new album’s final track list are the uptempo “Glow in the Dark”, originally lined up as the first radio single, promotional single “Motion Picture” and the previously heard “When Love Shows Up” and “Danja”.
While recording Love Revolution, McGrath has kept himself busy appearing on an episode of Lifetime’s Dance Moms and headlining Toronto’s VIP Dance Events last month. Be sure to pick up a copy of McGrath’s latest creation currently available on iTunes!
